About the Water for Food Daugherty Global Institute:
The Water for Food Daugherty Global Institute (WFI) was founded in 2010 to address the global challenge of achieving food security with less pressure on water resources through improved management of water in agricultural and food systems. We are committed to ensuring a water and food secure world without compromising the use of water for other human and environmental needs.

About the Position:
We are looking for a graphic design intern to collaborate with staff and other interns at the institute over the duration of the winter semester with potential for extension. Duties will include designing layouts for project websites and reports as well as creating infographics. A major task will be designing accessible, interactive information from scholarly work and data.

Pay for the position will be $10/hour. Hours required weekly will vary week-to-week depending on project needs but a minimum of two hours is expected. The graphic design intern will work with Nicholas Brozović, Director of Policy, and Morgan Spiehs and Kate Gibson, Program Associates.

Required Knowledge, Ability and Skills:
• Knowledge of graphic and web design technologies including experience using Adobe Illustrator and Adobe Photoshop, Excel preferred
• Ability to use tools and creative design skills to a produce product that meets set requirements
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Excellent design skills, including knowledge of web design trends
• Previous experience working on maps, GIS, or spatial projects; or demonstrated ability to create visually appealing maps preferable
• Basic understanding of HTML and CSS
• Pursuing a degree within Art, Graphic Design, Advertising, Media or related field
