The audience team at the Washington Post wants to take on a freelancer or two in the spring to help with a few projects. This opportunity allows college journalism students to get some real-world experience in audience engagement before graduating. Specifically, in one case, we’re looking for someone to help us produce one of our weekly live chats on the site with Gene Weingarten. The role should take 3-5 hours a week preparing for the chat and producing every Tuesday for 90 minutes.
Qualifications: basics in writing + editing with AP Style but specifically want someone who is interested in the world of audience engagement as a career.
Compensation is $25 an hour and the Post pays through its talent network, an online portal for freelancers.
Interested individuals are to send a resume and a short note listing any relevant experience -- such as previous work in social media or audience engagement.
