The Engler Program is looking for an enthusiastic, dependable, and motivated Advertising and Public Relations student to assist with creative production for a major upcoming event. The position is responsible for providing support for the event through a variety of channels, print, digital, web, video and other as assigned. This individual will assist with the development and design of event graphics, logos, collateral event materials and a variety of other creative tasks as assigned. The student will also be assigned various social media and email campaigns.
The Event:
On April 5th and 6th, the Engler Program is hosting an open casting call for ABC’s Shark Tank in Lincoln, Nebraska. Entrepreneurs from across the Midwest will be invited to come to Lincoln and pitch for a chance to be on the show. The objective of this two-day event is to create a lot of ‘entrepreneurial buzz’ across the Midwest and showcase the Nebraska entrepreneurship scene.
Qualifications/Duties:
> Excellent computer knowledge for both MAC and PC environments
> Prepare images and graphics to coincide with social media posts
> Creation and updates to various college print and digital collateral
> Writing and proofing skills are a requirement
> Efficient time management skills and attention to detail
> Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and administrative skills
> Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks within identified timeframes
> Organized, dependable and detail oriented
> Provide support with event planning as needed
> Other duties as needed
Hours:
Must be able to work 5-10 hours/week and have some availability Monday-Friday from 8:00 am-5:00 pm for office shifts. Students will also provide support at events, which occasionally involve evening/weekend hours.
Credit:
The internship is non-paid, but does have the option to receive credit for the experience.
