Advertising and Public Relations Intern - UNL Biological Systems Engineering (Lincoln, NE)

The Biological Systems Engineering (BSE) Department is looking for an enthusiastic, dependable, and motivated Advertising and Public Relations student to assist with creative production. The position is responsible for providing support for the department through a variety of channels, print, digital, web, video and other as assigned. This individual will assist with the development and design of BSE graphics, logos, collateral event materials and a variety of other creative tasks as assigned. The student will also be assigned various social media campaigns and website updates utilizing Drupal.

Qualifications/Duties:
> Excellent computer knowledge for both MAC and PC environments
> Must be proficient in basic design programs including Adobe Creative Suite and knowledge of video editing software
> Prepare images and graphics to coincide with social media posts
> Creation and updates to various college print and digital collateral
> Writing and proofing skills are a requirement
> Efficient time management skills and attention to detail
> Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and administrative skills
> Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks within identified time frames
> Organized, dependable and detail-oriented
> Provide support with event planning as needed
> Other duties as needed

Hours:
Must be able to work 10-15 hours/week and have some availability Monday-Friday from 8:00 am-5:00 pm for office shifts. Students will also provide support at events, which occasionally involve evening/weekend hours. Paid position.
