Lancaster County 4-H member Riley Peterson competed at the National 4-H Film Festival last August at Columbia, Missouri, which was attended by 4-H’ers from Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, Illinois, Ohio, North Dakota and Texas. The goal of the festival is to inspire and empower young filmmakers by connecting them with film industry professionals and introducing them to new technology.

Riley earned 3rd place in the Narrative category for his film, “Game Changers.” His fictional story is about a teenager who is very involved in baseball until he suffers from a concussion caused by his sister hitting him while they were practicing. He and his sister search for a solution to his boredom because he can no longer play ball and she is struggling with guilt.
