First Year Orientation is an essential opportunity for incoming students to learn about the school and the profession they will be entering. Like every year, this year's Orientation for the Class of 2015 came off without a hitch because of the hard work of Associate Dean Glenda Pierce and the crackerjack staff at the College of Law. Others provided a great deal of help too, as the Library and administrators Tasha Everman and Tracy Warren conducted seminars along with Dean Poser and Associate Dean Pierce.
As with previous years, the College of Law Faculty played an important role. For example, Professors Eric Berger, Craig Lawson, Rich Leiter, and Anna Shavers each led sessions during the two-day event.
Also, several professors led small groups during the Professionalism and Ethics Program during orientation. This important program introduced 1L's to the profession's values, norms, and ethical responsibilities. These professors worked with local attorneys and judges and small groups of students on Thursday afternoon, August 16:
