The Supreme Court and the Future of the Affordable Care Act
Sometime this summer, the Supreme Court will render a decision in King v. Burwell, which challenges the tax subsidy provided to persons who purchase insurance policies in the 36 states that elected to use the Federal Exchange under the Affordable Care Act. Professor Medill will explain how the tax subsidy under the Affordable Care Act operates, the challenge presented in King, and the potential impact of the Court’s ruling on the future of efforts to reform the health care system. All in 25 minutes, with ample time for student questions!
