Nebraska is hosting the 2023 APWA North American Snow Conference April 16-19 at the CHI Health Center in Omaha. One of the premier events for public works departments, feature tracks include Operators' Day on Tuesday, April 18, an extensive Education Program, an Exhibit Hall with hundreds of vendors, as well as social and networking events like Monday night's Snow Trek.
Volunteers are needed for many roles to help the conference run smoothly. Anyone who volunteers will be able to participate in the rest of the conference day free of charge. Volunteers can sign-up at https://signup.com/client/invitation2/secure/9969989098188800107/false#/invitation. Education monitors will receive CEU's for sessions monitored.
NDOT has provided for conference registration to be covered by Workforce Development for local public agencies. This approval is for registration only and may be limited to a few participants per agency to spread the funding to more agencies, depending on interest. Anyone interested in attending with WFD dollars should contact Phyllis at LTAP to register.
This is a rare opportunity, and we hope as many Nebraska agencies can participate as possible.
