Santa Clara University Noyce Grant
Santa Clara University (SCU) received an NSF Noyce grant, which seeks to attract qualified STEM majors and professionals to become middle or high school mathematics teachers in racially, ethnically, linguistically, and economically diverse schools. SCU Noyce Fellows are dedicated to using education as a tool for social justice and are committed to teaching mathematics in a high-need school district for at least four years after graduation.
SCU Noyce Fellows will receive:
• FULL TUITION SCHOLARSHIP and $20,000 living stipend to earn a California Single Subject Mathematics Teaching Credential and Master’s Degree in one year.
• $10,000 stipend each year for your first four years teaching in a high-need school district.
• Extensive professional development during student teaching and for the first four years teaching in a high-need school district.
• Many opportunities to become part of a vibrant mathematics education community.
