NASA Summer 2021 Internships & the NASA Nebraska Space Grant

NASA Summer 2021 Internship applications are now being accepted! NASA internships and fellowships leverage NASA’s unique missions and programs to enhance and increase the capability, diversity and size of the nation’s future science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) workforce. Internships provide students with the opportunity to participate in either research or other experiential learning, under the guidance of a mentor at NASA.

NOTE: Currently, NASA Summer internships are being announced as remote placements only. However, the agency will review the status in February for a final determination. Until further agency notice, we are moving with the assumption that all Summer internships will be held remotely. While applications are not officially due until March 5, 2021, please consider submitting your application before the Priority Deadline of January 31, 2021, as some NASA Centers will make internship placements before the deadline.

Funding from the NASA Nebraska Space Grant may be available for students’ Summer 2021 NASA Internships, if selected.

There are two steps for students to apply:

1. Complete the NASA Internship application through the NASA system at https://intern.nasa.gov.

2. Complete the Nebraska Student Internship Application through the InfoReady Review Portal at https://nespacegrant.infoready4.com/.

For additional information and eligibility requirements, visit https://www.nespacegrant.org/internships and https://intern.nasa.gov.

The application process can be lengthy, so we encourage applicants to apply as soon as possible. Additional questions can be directed to nasa.nebraska@unomaha.edu.
