The 2026 MTEP Conference will be held as a preconference to the 2026 AMTE Conference in Portland, Oregon. MTEP will also host an extended networking breakfast on Saturday, February 7, during the AMTE Conference. The purpose of the MTEP conference is to build understanding of and engagement in the MTEP 2.0 network in its goal to transform secondary mathematics teacher preparation programs in alignment with the AMTE Standards. In addition, the preconference will be co-hosted by ESTEEM: Enhancing Data Science and Statistics Teacher Education with E-Modules and include sessions focusing on data science as well as secondary mathematics teacher preparation.
