Experience the excitement of nanotechnology research at the National Nanotechnology Coordinated Infrastructure Research Experience for Teachers program at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln!

This six-week program will take place June 15-24 and is designed for high school teachers or technical college faculty who teach science or technology and live within driving distance of UNL campus. This year, for the first time, there is funding for one teacher to have room and board on UNL campus if they live outside a 60-mile radius of Lincoln.

During this program, participants will receive hands-on experience working with innovative nanotechnology techniques and tools in the nanoscale science and engineering labs at UNL. This RET program is a great opportunity for teachers to network with scientists and teachers in this field. Participants will build curriculum materials to implement in their classrooms based on their experience in the program to then share with students and peers.

Through your participation, you will earn a $8,000 stipend, $1,000 in equipment for lesson development, support from faculty and graduate researchers, and a group follow-up at Georgia Tech in October. Participants are required to attend all daily and weekly meetings, seminars, field trips, and workshops over the course of this program.

Applications are due April 17! If you have any questions, contact Steve Wignall at swignall4@unl.edu or 402-472-6078.
