NASELI program offers professional development with agriculture, science industry professionals

The Summer 2026 Nebraska Agriculture and Science Education Leadership Institute is a professional development and leadership opportunity for Nebraska 6-12 science educators. Applications are due March 31.

• Goal: Make agriculture-phenomena lessons accessible to Nebraska Science Educators
  
• Professional development and leadership opportunity for Nebraska 6-12 science educators
  
• Create a repository of standards-aligne/d lesson plans featuring Nebraska agricultural connections
  
• Supported by Nebraska agriculture industry leaders

• Field trips to local farms and agriculture industries
  
• Collaborate with agriculture industry experts and fellow educators
  
• Integrate Nebraska-specific agricultural connections into science curriculum

• Current Nebraska middle or high school science or agriculture teacher
  
• Commitment to attend virtual preparation activities and immersive
  experience
  
• Interest in teaching agriculture-focused science curriculum

• Financial compensation of $150/day
