Young Nebraska Scientists announced its 2026 slate of summer experiences in STEM learning for middle- and high-school students.
YNS is planning several exciting new camps, thanks to funding from the National Science Foundation via Nebraska EPSCoR. These camps include:
- Snack Attack: Apple Edition, a two-day camp with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Food Science & Technology Department and sponsored by the Kimmel Foundation,
- Rise and Grind: A Wheat Tale, from Field to Flour and Beyond, a four-day camp with UNL Food Science at Nebraska Innovation Campus in Lincoln, and
- many returning favorite YNS camps, including Biodiversity Camp at UNL’s Cedar Point Biological Station on Lake Ogallala and Explorations in Biology at Nebraska Wesleyan University in Lincoln!
YNS continues to offer need-based scholarships that are easily accessed in the camps’ online application. YNS wants to help any interested and eligible Nebraska students be able to attend its camps. To ask questions about YNS programs, email yns@nebraska.edu.
