Students Together Against Cancer (STAC)
STAC is an RSO, and 501(c)(3) non-profit, aimed at helping local, low-income cancer patients with food and utility bills. They group mostly fundraises and volunteers, and the time requirement is low.

First fall meeting is 8 p.m. Sept 13 in theNebraska Union's Heritage Room (2nd floor).

Black Greek 101
From 6 to 7 p.m. Sept 13 in the Nebraska Union's Heritage Room (2nd floor). A seminar to learn more about the National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC) or commonly referred to as Divine Nine (D9) organization. Attendees will learn about all nine organizations, plus the current chapters that are on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's yard.

To obtain membership into any of these organizations, Huskers are required to attend a Black Greek 101 session.

Camp Kesem UNL
At 7:45 p.m. Sept 13 in the Nebraska Union, there is an informational session to learn more about Camp Kesem: everything from who the groups serves, how they work on campus, and the rewards from working and getting involved with this organization.

Husker Motorsports UNL Formula SAE
This RSO will share info about the club to prospective members at a New Member Orientation from 6 to 8 p.m. Sept 14 and at a second session from 6 to 8 p.m. Sept 16. Both events meet in Scott Engineering Center, Room 237. The group invites interested students to attend either session for presentation about the team, the competition, and their car. A tour of the shop will follow.

Ballroom Dance Club
The club is hosting Social Dance Lessons from 8:30 to 10:30 p.m. Sept 14 in the Nebraska Union Ballroom. Open to all students.

The lesson is 1-hour of instruction on moves and techniques, then a half-hour of open floor to try what you've learned, get creative, and socialize. The club teaches a variety of dances throughout the year, including West Coast, East Coast, and country swing to rumba, cha-cha, tango, and waltz.

Pi Alpha Chi
This org is hosting their fall philanthropy, "A Chili Night with Pi Alpha Chi" from 7 to 11 p.m. Sept 16 in basement of the Newman Center. Tickets are $5 each for chili, cinnamon rolls, and Pepsi products in support of Project Rachel.

Horticulture Club
Check out the group's "Find a Study Buddy" Foliage Sale from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept 17 at the Willa Cather Dining Complex and the East Campus Union. Find a new green addition to your dorm at the club's first fundraiser of the fall semester.

Residence Hall Association
RHA Outdoor Movie Night for Family Weekend is 8 to 10 p.m. Sept 18 at the 17th Street Green Space (across from Willa Cather Dining Center). Enjoy a free outdoor screening of the 2021 film "Cruella" starring Emma Stone. Bring blankets or chairs to sit on.

Society For Biomaterials UNL Student Chapter
Join the student org for its first Biomaterials Day. The one-day virtual conference 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sept 17 via Zoom and will showcase biomaterials-related efforts from our community. Registration is free. More details.

Lincoln Fantasy And Science Fiction Club
From to 12 to 6 p.m. every Sunday, join the group for its "Sunday Gaming" activities in the Nebraska Union. They play a variety of tabletop roleplaying games, with Game Masters running a game to completion and then a new one stepping in and beginning a new game. Dungeons and Dragons, Call of Cthulhu, White Wolf, you name it. Whether a novice or a pro, any student can join any time that works for you.
