The International Student and Scholar Office (ISSO) is organizing a day of fun on the slopes to learn and try skiing or snowboarding.

The event is 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 12 at the Mt. Crescent Ski Area (located 15 minutes north of Omaha). All UNL students - international and domestic - are invited to participate.

The $40 registration fee includes transportation, ski or snowboard equipment and lift tickets. Lunch is not included. Students will meet at Nebraska Union by 8:45 a.m. and the bus departs at 9 a.m.

To register, complete out this form. After doing so, you should stop by the ISSO booths in the Nebraska Union from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 1–3 or Feb. 8–9 to make your payment. Space is limited.

Your spot will be secured only after making your payment and there will be no refunds.

Participants are encouraged to bring a winter coat, gloves, and hat and wear snow pants. Leggings or thermal pants are alternatives if snow pants are not available. Sunglasses or goggles are highly recommended in case of a sunny day.

Although lunch is not included, students can bring their own lunch/snacks or purchase lunch from a small café at Mt. Crescent.
