Decoding the 2023 Lincoln Elections

The 2023 Lincoln primary election will occur on April 4 and the general election will occur on May 2. The offices up for election will include Mayor; City Council (Districts 1, 2, 3 & 4); Lincoln Airport Authority (2 vacancies); and Lincoln Public Schools Board of Education (Districts 2, 4, & 6).

March 24 is the registration deadline to vote in the primary election. April 21 is the registration deadline to vote in the general election.

Serve as a Vote Ambassador

Motivated undergraduate and graduate students are needed to serve as Vote Ambassadors for the upcoming 2023 Lincoln general elections.

The ambassadors serve as Deputy Registrars and assist the Husker Vote Coalition with providing students with election information and assisting students with registering to vote.

On-campus Voter Registration in February

Throughout February, Huskers are invited to stop at any of the following Voter Registration sites to register to vote, check their voter registration status, and sign up to vote-by-mail in the upcoming Lincoln elections.

NOTE: Students living in the Residence Halls can use that address to register to vote (Nebraska Union will be your polling place on the election dates).

Feb. 6: Anderson Hall Lobby, from 2 to 4 p.m.

Feb. 7: Othmer Hall Lobby, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Feb. 8: Hawks Hall Lobby, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Feb. 9: Massengale Hall Lobby, from 2 to 4 p.m.

Feb. 10: Adele Hall Learning Commons, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Feb. 20: Smith Hall Lobby, from 2 to 4 p.m.
