Spring course registration

By November 13, 2019 your student should have registered for classes for the Spring 2020 semester. When you see your student over the break, ask them about their spring courses. It is important to ask about courses because we want to make sure students have registered for classes and are feeling confident about their upcoming course schedule.

If you ask your student about their courses and they are not registered for classes or are unsure if they are comfortable with the classes they are taking, ask them if they have made time to meet with their academic advisor. Their academic advisor is going to be able to help them navigate the registration process as well as talk to them about other options for courses.

Some students may not have registered due to holds on their accounts. To view specific holds, a student can click on them in their MyRED account. Common holds include missing a high school transcript or having an outstanding student bill. The hold will need to be resolved before the student will be able to register.
