Did you know there is a full-service pharmacy on campus? Here are five reasons your student should take advantage of this valuable resource:

  1. We are conveniently located.
When your student needs medicine, the last thing they should be worried about is finding a way to get off campus and locating a nearby pharmacy. Instead, they can save their time and energy by making the short walk to the University Health Center pharmacy, located on City Campus. Our service is fast, making it easy for your student to drop in between classes, grab what they need and continue on with their busy schedule.
  2. We fill prescriptions from any health care provider.
Your student doesn’t have to see a health center doctor to get their prescriptions filled with us. To transfer a current prescription, have your student bring us the bottle with the label indicating they have refills remaining. If your student is prescribed a new medication, have them tell their provider to send the order to the health center pharmacy.
  3. We offer affordable over-the-counter items.
From vitamins and cold and allergy medicine to personal hygiene products and first aid kit supplies, we offer all the basic over-the-counter items your student needs to feel well. Most of our products are $5 or less and are offered at a lower rate than what students may find at off-campus pharmacies. We also give out free 24-hour doses of ibuprofen, antacid and acetaminophen upon request.
  4. We are open late and on weekends.
Our fall and spring semester hours are:
    • Monday and Tuesday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
    • Wednesday and Thursday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
    • Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
    • Saturday, 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
  5. We are passionate about patient drug counseling.
Our pharmacy team’s goal is to ensure all students fully understand the medication they are prescribed. We take the time needed to explain when to take the medication, how it may interact with other medications your student already takes, possible side effects and more.
