The University of Nebraska Dance Marathon (UNDM) is back this school year and is looking forward to a successful year in helping to change kid’s health.

University of Nebraska Dance Marathon is one of the largest Recognized Student Organizations on campus. UNDM recruits students from all majors, backgrounds and interests to come together to fundraise for the Children’s Hospital & Medical Center in Omaha. They host small events on campus and within the Lincoln community to serve as one generation fighting for the next. The pinnacle of members' year is a 13.1 hour “Dance Marathon” where UNL students and kids who have been treated at Children’s Hospital come together to celebrate monies raised and dance the night away. The marathon event integrates dancing and live acts such as a children’s talent show, crafts and activities for all ages, and more to give families and children affected a day without the worries associated with numerous hospital stays.

During the first two weeks of the Fall semester, UNDM will be at numerous upcoming events to tell students how they can become involved. Events include:

  • Party at the Union - August 21 at Nebraska Union from 9 to 11:55 p.m.
  • Street Festival - August 22 at East Stadium Parking Lot from 6 to 8 p.m.
  • Club Fair - August 25 at Nebraska Union from 11:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m.
  • East Campus Club Fair - August 26 at East Campus Union from 4 to 6 p.m.
