Continuing students can volunteer for Playfair

Playfair is a high energy way of meeting other new Huskers.
Playfair is a high energy way of meeting other new Huskers.

What is Playfair you ask? Playfair: The Ultimate Icebreaker is a powerful program for campus unity and school spirit that is unlike anything else your student has ever experienced. It’s entertainment! It’s fun! It’s the perfect way to make new campus friendships!

A memorable event during Big Red Welcome, Playfair is an event designed to introduce new students to one another in a fast-paced environment. To make this event a success, we need 30 energetic returning UNL students to serve as Playfair Assistants (PA).

Playfair is a team-building experience that will have a long-lasting effect on those that participate. PAs will receive pizza and a t-shirt and be trained by David, the Playfair Facilitator. Then, they will participate in the event just like the new students, but the role of PAs is to make sure everyone feels included, assist if a student needs something, and help encourage participation.

Students should register to help by Monday, August 16 at 5 p.m. Registration is easy and can be found on NvolveU Forms when a student is logged in.
