Students can connect with employers recruiting for internships and full-time positions at the University Career Fair - In-Person this fall on Sept. 21-24. Over 130 employers are already registered to be at one or more days of the event. Each day focuses on different career interest pathways.
The first three days, Sept. 21-23, will be held from 12 to 4 p.m. at the Nebraska Union on City Campus. The fourth day, September 24, will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Nebraska East Union.
Student registration for the in-person Career Fairs is available on Handshake. Students should download the Career Fair+ app to explore information about opportunities, participating employers and contact information. The app also will provide a map for each day of the Career Fair to help students plan their route when attending. A professional photographer will be available at the in-person fair to take professional headshot photos for students.
Handshake will be the host platform for the Virtual Career Fair from 2 to 4 p.m. on Oct. 12-13, Students must register to participate in the Virtual Career Fairs through Handshake which will allow them to schedule 1:1 meetings or to reserve a spot in group sessions with participating employers. Student registration for the Virtual Career Fairs opens September 20.
Career Fair resources and guidance for students are available, including videos of employers answering student frequently asked Career Fair questions and advice on what to wear, how to research employers, prepare for virtual meetings and more. Students also are encouraged to connect with a Career Coach for personalized answers and support. Career Coaching appointments can be scheduled through MyPlan.
