A pilot program of the Internships at the Foundry Program began in January with an inaugural cohort of eight students completing internships with one or more local nonprofits.
A team of five students in the Jeffrey S. Raikes School of Computer Science and Management’s Design Studio was asked to solve an E-commerce company’s categorization problem and produced a solution that saved 34,000 hours per year.
UNL was selected for a grant to help Nebraska students obtain a U.S. passport and support their global learning journeys. The funding expands the current Husker Passport Giveaway from 100 to 125 students and provides specific support for first-year students who are Pell grant-eligible.
Breaking a university record for most recipients in an application cycle, 35 University of Nebraska-Lincoln undergraduates earned the Benjamin A. While some people who fish love to swap exaggerated stories of the ones that got away, AJ Lincoln will always be able to boast about the weekend when he and a partner were the best bass fishers in the country.
The university will continue to offer free, voluntary, on-campus testing for COVID-19 through the summer. The saliva-based testing will be available to students, faculty and staff at the site outside the Nebraska Union. Testing hours are available six days a week, Sunday–Friday.
Outfit? Check. Cap and gown? Check. Nebraska degree? Done! By the age of 5, Nebraska’s Cherish Perkins was sketching designs and dreaming of a career in fashion. By 10, she was in sewing classes, creating her designs. And now, she has graduated and is launching her own company.
Mentorship, both given and received, has been a hallmark of Kristlin Mogensen Bright’s academic experience. Bright was awarded her master’s degree in counseling psychology during commencement ceremonies May 13. She will soon embark upon her career as a licensed psychotherapist in private practice.
