A walk-in flu shot clinic at the University Health Center is open Monday through Friday from 9 to 11 a.m. and 2 to 4 p.m. Flu shots also are available by appointment through the Medical Clinic. Have your student call 402.472.5000 to make the appointment.
The UHC will continue to offer flu shots throughout the flu season, but recommends students get their shot as soon as possible since it takes about two weeks after vaccination for antibodies to develop in the body that protect against influenza virus infection.
Remember, if your student is 18 or younger, you must fill out and have notarized this Power of Attorney form before he or she can receive their flu shot. These forms can be faxed to 402.472.8010 or emailed to uhc@unl.edu. If a Power of Attorney form is on file for your student, you do not need to repeat this process again.
