The Explore Center is excited to announce Major Exploration Week, which will include the Major Exploration Event on October 9 and the University Majors Fair on October 11. Major and career exploration often happens outside of the classroom, and these events are a great way to get started if you are undecided on a major or want to take the next step to connect your major with your future career.
At the Major Exploration Event on October 9 from 4 – 6 p.m. in the Nebraska Union, you will get the opportunity to hear from previously undecided students during an Undecided Student Panel. The students on the panel will talk about their experiences being undecided and what helped them throughout their major exploration process. Next, you will be able to select from a variety of major exploration workshops. Topics of these sessions range from how to choose a major, connecting majors to careers, and assessing your skills and interests. These sessions allow you to personalize your major exploration experience for what fits you best.
The University Majors Fair on October 11 from 12:30 p.m. – 2 p.m. in the Nebraska Union Plaza is designed to help you explore options for academic majors and minors through conversations with representatives from each of the UNL colleges. All students are welcome to attend, and we look forward to having all UNL colleges represented at this year’s fair.
