Collections from SNR's "Caring for Clinton" were delivered to Clinton Elementary school on December 8, 2023.
Seven large bags with coats, hats, mittens and other clothing were collected. $1,255 was also collected in donations.
Dee Ebbeka, Cartographer / Graphic Artist and Andy Little, Landscape and Habitat Management Ecologist | SNR Extension Coordinator, & Iris McFarlin, Communication Specialist, both from the Applied Wildlife Ecology & Spatial Movement Lab (AWESM) helped deliver the items to Linda Kern, Family Care Coordinator at Clinton Elementary.
Linda thanks the SNR Community:
"Clinton Friends at UNL SNR....
'Rivers do not drink their own water; trees do not eat their own fruit;
the sun does not shine on itself and the flowers do not spread their fragrance for themselves.
Living for others is a rule of nature. We are all born to help each other. No matter how different it is....
Life is good when you are happy; but much better when others are happy because of you.' --Vedic Proverb.
You all make many Clinton students and families happy because of your generous, heart felt donations collected each year. Coats, clothing, hats and gloves are all needed at this time of year.
On behalf of our Clinton families, thank you so much for remembering us this holiday.
We wish you all the very best - have a happy holiday and many blessings to all of you in 2024."
