Johnsgard publishes 61st book

In recent weeks, UNL’s Paul Johnsgard has published three new books. The ornithologist and emeritus professor of biological sciences has now published 61 books.

Johnsgard’s three recent publications are:

-- "Yellowstone Wildlife: Ecology and Natural History of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem," (2013, Boulder: University Press of Colorado), 239 pages

-- "Bird and Birding in the Bighorn Mountains Region of Wyoming," (2013, Zea E-Books and University of Nebraska Digital Commons), 260 pages

-- "The Birds of Nebraska," (2013, Zea E-Books and University of Nebraska Digital Commons), 146 pages

"Yellowstone Wildlife" features 45 color photos by Tom Mangelsen, a former student of Johnsgard’s who is now one of the world’s best-known wildlife photographers.

Jacqueline Canterbury, another of Johnsgard’s former students, and Helen Downing, were major contributors to "Birds and Birding in the Bighorn Mountains Region of Wyoming."
