The university's Honors Program has new resources available online to support faculty who teach honors courses and work with honors students including information on the different types of honors courses offered and suggestions for different levels of Honors seminars. In addition, faculty can learn about working with an upper-class Honors Learning Assistant, requesting co-curricular funding support for seminar activities, and proposing new Honors seminars.

Also available is information on supervising Honors course contracts, including answers to common questions about the process and an outline of faculty responsibilities. An Honors contract is a means for Honors students to make an agreement with a faculty member to collaboratively design a project or additional work the student will undertake during the semester. Completion of this work adds the Honors designation to the course for that student.

Through the Honors website, faculty may also nominate exceptional students for recruitment into the program. Faculty encouragement is especially important for students who may not be familiar with the opportunities available or who may not have previously thought the program was accessible to them. Due to various curricular requirements, the best candidates for nomination are students in their first- or second- year of college.
