Applications extended for open education resources seed grants

The OER Seed Grant 2021 application has been extended.
The OER Seed Grant 2021 application has been extended.

The OER Seed Grant 2021 application has been extended in NuRamp until the end of the fall 2021 semester or the funding has been fully awarded. Grants will be reviewed as they are submitted and will be awarded for spring, summer, or fall 2022 courses.

Grants are provided to support the adoption, adaptation, or creation of open education resources materials, including textbook alternatives, assessment tools, and ancillary materials. Grant recipients are expected to work with or provide data to an inter-campus faculty research team analyzing the impact of OER and low-cost digital course materials at Nebraska.

The STAR team, which includes librarians, instructional designers, and instructional technologists available to consult and assist with integrating OER, will be administering these grants.

OER expands pedagogical and course design options while decreasing costs for students. Past grant recipients have used OER to enhance course content and student engagement, as well as solve a variety of challenges.

Generous funding from Women Investing in Nebraska, and the University of Nebraska's Provost’s Office has expanded UNL’s commitment to the adoption of open educational resources.
