With the spread of the Omicron variant, a number of students and faculty members may be unable to attend classes in person for some portion of the start of the term.
To prevent students from falling behind, and to find effective ways to provide instructional materials and support for those who might be temporarily unable to be present in person, faculty can use the Center for Transformative Teaching's Keep Teaching quick-start guide as a resource.
Wholesale changes in course delivery format are to be avoided and would need to be approved at the department and college level if necessary. Faculty are encouraged to contact an instructional designer if assistance is needed.
