Student Luminary awardees help every Husker feel valued, create a positive campus environment, advocate for positive change, demonstrate a significant and active commitment to inclusion, and model academic excellence inside and outside the classroom.

Nominations are being sought for the University of Nebraska–Lincoln’s Student Luminary Awards — an honor designed to recognize 10 students for their exceptional leadership and commitment — and the James V. Griesen Service to Students Award.

Through the Luminary Awards, eight undergraduate and two graduate student luminaries will be awarded $1,000 and recognized for contributions to the campus community.

Nominees should consistently help every Husker feel valued, create a positive campus environment, advocate for positive change, demonstrate a significant and active commitment to inclusion and model academic excellence both inside and outside the classroom.

Similarly, recognition for faculty or staff members who offer extraordinary and sustained support for students is available through the James V. Griesen Exemplary Service to Students Award. All faculty and staff are eligible for nomination.

Nomination forms, available online, are due Feb. 11.
