Graduating students share their next steps, including employment, graduate school, or military service, when they complete the First Destination Survey.

With commencement ceremonies only a few weeks away, encourage graduating students to complete the First Destination Survey, which collects important information about their plans including employment, graduate school, military service, and other opportunities. Students can access the survey at go.unl.edu/fds2024.

Gathering data through the survey enables the university to showcase the success stories of alumni and demonstrate the value of earning a UNL degree. We also use this data for program and university accreditation processes to show how we prepare graduates for successful careers and other academic pursuits. The data is also a component of institutional rankings, such as U.S. News and World Report, and shared with prospective students, parents, employers, and the broader community.

Instructor support of this survey reinforces that their participation directly contributes to the value of their degrees and the overall excellence of our institution.
