UNL's Teaching Online Learning Community will be held July 8 through August 2. It covers four asynchronous modules to help start the semester strong; reach every student through intentional course design; provide meaningful feedback to rich assessments; and build an inviting community of learners online.
Registration is open to instructors and GTAs.
Each week, participants will work through one asynchronous module in Canvas and attend two synchronous Zoom-based sessions for an estimated weekly time commitment of about four hours. Instructors will join in practical discussions with their peers and develop their course with the assistance of an instructional designer each week.
Instructors new to teaching online will find this learning community valuable for the support of their peers and instructional designers as they navigate through the weekly topics and develop a component of their course each week. Experienced instructors may enjoy sharing their knowledge and exploring new ideas as they refresh their course.
