University Libraries, a key partner in UNL’s Successful Teaching with Affordable Resources initiative, is providing additional opportunities for instructors interested in exploring or integrating more affordable or open paths to materials in their courses.

Libraries faculty can review syllabi and reading lists, then consult with instructors to share relevant low(er) cost and more open alternatives, including purchasing Libraries-licensed online resources; reduced cost e-versions of textbooks provided by inclusive access platforms; and relevant open educational resources for instructors to consider. In addition, grant funds are available for instructors who choose to replace all or some of their current course materials with no or low-cost alternatives.

Instructors can learn more about these opportunities, including links to share a syllabus or reading list for review and to apply for grant funds, online at the Libraries’ Course Materials Review guide. Grant applications will be accepted on a rolling basis.
