The Libraries announces a new subscription to the Food, Science, and Technology Abstracts database on the EBSCOhost platform, as well as trial access through the end of April to Sage Campus and new modules of Sage Research Methods.
Food Science Technology Abstracts
The new FSTA database subscription provides support to many areas of campus including animal science, Nebraska Extension, family and consumer science, microbiology, food science and technology, and horticulture. The database indexes content from journals, patents, books, conference proceedings, reports, theses, standards, and legislation, covering subject areas such as:
- Major food commodities
- Biotechnology, microbiology
- Food safety, additives, nutrition, and packaging
- Pet foods
Sage Campus and Sage Research Methods
A campus-wide trial of Sage Research Methods Complete and Sage Campus is available through April 30, 2025.
UNL has already purchased a substantial portion of the extensive Sage Research Methods collection of books, datasets, videos, methodology handbooks, cases, and expert interviews covering qualitative research methods in the social sciences. The trial adds access to all remaining content on the Sage Research Methods platform.
Sage Campus is a point-of-need resource featuring ready-made, structured courses focused on the essential skills and stages of the research process This resource extends the instructional reach of librarians and faculty to meet the needs of researchers at all levels. Users will need to create a Sage account separate from their UNL account to save progress in each module.
Feedback on the trial database can be submitted online.
