
Academic Technologies Learning Series offers one-hour Zoom sessions each week, focusing on key tools and best practices. The series runs throughout the spring semester before pausing for the summer. Below is the upcoming schedule:
- YuJa April 3, 10:30-11:30 a.m. – This session provides an overview of how to use YuJa for beginners. The presenter will demo the file storage system in YuJa and how faculty can make use of Lecture Capture, an automated captioning service available in some general purpose classrooms. Register online.
- Gradescope April 3, 3-4 p.m. – Howard from Gradescope will cover the basics of how the tool can make grading easier including how to use it to grade bubble sheets. Register online.
- Adobe Accessibility April 8, 2-3 p.m. – Delve into the differences between accessible and non-accessible Adobe documents and highlight the impact accessible documents have on users with screen readers. The presenter will demonstrate how to create accessible documents using Acrobat and InDesign. Register online.
- iClicker April 14, 10-11 a.m. – This session provides an overview of iClicker Cloud, a classroom engagement solution designed to increase student attendance, preparedness, and understanding of course material. The presenter will discuss how iClicker works and provide a live polling demonstration. Register online.
- Adobe Express April 21, 1-2 p.m. – Dan Armstrong from Adobe will provide a demonstration of Adobe Express, Adobe's quick and easy content creation tool. Attendees will learn how to access Express and the creative power that it can unleash for their projects. Register online.
