The Spring RED Talk, held Thursday, February 16 at 7:00 PM in the Love Library Learning Commons, will feature undergraduate student researchers giving 8-minute interactive TED talk-style presentations. Following the theme “Homegrown,” speakers will share how and why their research affects Nebraska.
This spring’s featured speakers:
• Catherine Berrick, senior in Fisheries & Wildlife and Spanish, on public and private land use in Nebraska for field research
• Bridget Bickner, junior in biological sciences, on Nursery Web spider mating practices
• Joe Hams, senior in Psychology and Spanish, on migrant child labor
• Spencer Prockish, senior in Physics and Mathematics, on solar energy
• Rosamond Thalken, senior in Film Studies and English, on the George Eliot Digital Archive
Q&A will follow each presentation and refreshments will be served. Audience members will be asked to complete short feedback forms for the speakers.
