At the Fall Teaching & Learning Symposium, Dr. Peggy Brickman will conduct an interactive keynote that will review research recommendations for effective procedures to plan, monitor, and intervene so that students of diverse abilities and backgrounds can all benefit from collaborative group work no matter the class size or discipline.

In preparation, participants may want to explore the Evidence-Based Teaching Guide for Group Work developed by Kristy Wilson, Peggy Brickman, and Cynthia Brame before attending. The Evidence-Based Teaching Guide presents research studies and resources related to group work. Links to key articles are accompanied by condensed summaries organized by teaching challenges, and actionable advice is provided in an instructor checklist.

To attend Brickman’s seminar, register for the Fall 2018 Teaching & Learning Symposium at http://go.unl.edu/teachingsymposium18.
