There has been discussion about starting an alumni group for the PGA Golf Management Program for quite a few years now. Well, we are finally gearing up for our inaugural reunion of our program in the fall of 2017. While this may seem a long way off, we know it will be here before we know it.
Let's start with things we know. First, we know that we will have an alumni reunion in late September or early October of 2017. We know it will coincide with the CASNR Alumni Celebration as soon as the college announces their date. By having our reunion alongside the college's celebration, it will allow our alumni and their families to participate in both events. Golf and Husker football...what a combination!
Next, while all alumni and their families are invited, we will hold a special recognition for the 2007 PGA Golf Management graduates who will be the honor class for 2017 (graduates from ten years ago). Also, we know there will be some friendly golf competition, and a alumni and family dinner at a location to be announced at a later date.
We will be gathering a small group of alumni in the Lincoln and surrounding area this fall (2016) to begin putting the pieces in place to prepare for our reunion in the fall of 2017. This group will meet periodically to organize, plan, and prepare for our celebration. More details will be shared in our fall newsletter that will come out in mid-September.
For now, make sure you make a special note for a special event that will take place in the fall of 2017.
