PGA Professional and Recent PGA Golf Management Graduate Andrew Frakes Performing at Last Year's World Long Drive Championship

Andrew Frakes, PGA (Class of 2015) became a member of the PGA of America as a Class A teaching professional in February this year. Shortly after his election into the PGA, Andrew began talks with the PGA Learning Centers, a new venture with the PGA of America and the PGA Tour. The partnership leverages the great minds of both organizations to develop a three-stage learning system for golfers of all skill levels. Andrew is now the Director of Instruction at the PGA Learning Center in Frisco, TX.

While still working toward his PGA Golf Management degree, Andrew put himself in the Guinness Book of World Records by hitting the most 300-yard or better golf drives in an hour. On August 7, 2013, he literally and figuratively smashed the old record of 272 just 31 minutes into the attempt, and at the one-hour mark had tallied a whopping 448 shots 300 yards or longer! More than 80,000 people watched video of him breaking the record when he was honored at a Husker football game that fall.

Andrew recently attempted to qualify for the U.S. Open and has re-signed with the prestigious Callaway Kings of Distance Long Drive team for a fourth year. He has qualified for the World Long Drive Finals each of the last four years and was recently featured on the Golf Channel’s Morning Drive with Damon Hack.
