TEAM World Wins the Riordan Cup for the Third Straight Year!

When the 2017 Riordan Cup competition concluded on Friday afternoon, Team World beat Team Nebraska to retain the Cup. It was the third straight year of Team World having possession of the Cup.

The matches started early Thursday afternoon at Wilderness Ridge with nine holes being fourball matches with the back nine conducted as an alternate shot competition. At the end of Thursday, October 19th competition, the competition stood as follows:

Team Nebraska's Eric Kovarik and Tyler Jennings split their matches with Team World's Kyle Soderstrom and Justin Wagner (1 point to 1 point)

Team Nebraska's Bill Rhiley and Landon Maassen split their matches with Team World's Josh Baldus and Joe Sherman (1 point to 1 point)

Team Nebraska's Tanner Oelke and Alec Hanson split their matches with Team World's Nick St. Onge and Matt Compton (1 point to 1 point)

Team Nebraska's Johnathan Kurylo and Cole Meschede lost their matches with Team World's Brenden Miller and Justin Nate Zimmeran (0 points to 2 points)

Team Nebraska's Aaron Hart and Kyle Murray split their matches with Team World's Cordell Weber and Kramer Samuelson (1 point to 1 point)

At the end of Day 1, Team World held a slim lead over Team Nebraska 6 points to 4 points.
