UNL Campus Rec is offering four exciting adventure trips during UNL’s Spring Break, Mar. 17–26. Trips are open to UNL students, faculty/staff and general public. No experience is required and all gear, transportation, instructors, insurance, permits and meals are provided. Adventure trips provide a fun, easy way to enjoy nature, experience new places and meet new people.

CALIFORNIA SURFING at San Elijo State Beach, California (LIMITED SPOTS)
Escape land-locked Nebraska and join an awesome group for a California surfing adventure. Eli Howard’s Surf Camp will provide five days of quality surfing instruction, exploratory activities and four nights of memorable beach camping experiences. California is the perfect place for both adventuring and relaxing. Along with daily surfing, your trip will be filled with activities such as exploring coastal environments, body surfing, tidepooling and afternoon excursions. We’ll also kick back and enjoy the natural beauty of the coast while doing daily yoga/stretching sessions, watching surf movies, having bonfires, playing games, telling stories and enjoying other’s company. Registration deadline is Feb. 27 and fees are $675 for UNL students and CREC members and $750 for the general public. Payment plans available.

WICHITA MOUNTAINS CLIMBING in Oklahoma
Explore the surprisingly quality rock in south central Oklahoma. Yeah, don't knock it 'til you try it. Take in the views as you climb above the Colorado-esque "Narrows" and the top of Mount Scott. Put your skills to the test as you take on a multi-pitch climb on one of the days of the trip. Registration deadline is Feb. 27 and fees are $495 for UNL students and CREC members and $575 for the general public. Payment plans available.

TEXAS CANYONS CANOEING in West Texas
One word best describes the canyons of West Texas: remote. If you're seeking a little adventure, you won't find a better alternative this Spring Break. Spend up to 7 days on the river, no resupplies or stops at restaurants in between the put in and the take out. Paddle in the tight canyons forged by iconic watersheds of the remote desert and explore side canyons or remains of villages long past. Find something worth telling stories about when you return from the break. Given the remoteness and challenging rapids of this trip, participants must be in good physical condition and have a positive state of mind. Registration deadline is Feb. 27 and fees are $495 for UNL students and CREC members and $575 for the general public. Payment plans available.
