
NCTM recently released a guide written for administrators wishing to interpret the new Common Core State Standards in order to improve mathematics instruction in their schools. Written by Nebraska’s own Matt Larson (Lincoln Public Schools), the guide addresses the dramatic changes in the mathematics education landscape since NCTM published its last administrator’s guide in 2003. These changes range from the full impact of NCLB to economic trends, as well as the new Common Core State Standards.
