October 2: Thompson Forum – Leymah Gbowee
Leymah Gbowee will speak at the E.N. Thompson Forum on World Issues on October 1. Gbowee, who received the Nobel Peace Prize in 2011, is a peace activist, trained social worker and women’s rights advocate.

October 4: UCARE Information Sessions begin
UNL’s Undergraduate Creative Activities and Research Experience (UCARE) program is one of the best national undergraduate research programs. Information sessions begin next month for students to conduct research projects with interests in various disciplines and world focus.

Farah Pandith will speak at the E.N. Thompson Forum on World Issues on October 8. Pandith is a world-leading expert and pioneer in countering violent extremism. She is an author, foreign-policy strategist and former diplomat who served as a political appointee under Presidents George H. W. Bush, George W. Bush and Barack Obama

October 10: Yeutter Institute Conference – What’s on the horizon for International Trade?
The Yeutter Institute will be hosting a free conference on international trade on October 10th in the College of Law auditorium. Registration is open for free until October 2.
