Marketing Specialist - Legacy Retirement Communities (Lincoln, NE)

The Marketing Specialist is responsible for the overall marketing initiatives within the Company by creating and delivering marketing ideas and activities. This includes formulating concepts, creating marketing materials, managing projects/events and ensuring company messages are consistent. This may be done through print media, social media, PR, advertising, special events, etc. The Marketing Specialist will deliver high quality services in a manner consistent with the mission and values of the Legacy Retirement Communities and complies with applicable state and federal laws and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
> Create, deliver, edit and optimize marketing materials ensuring messages are supportive of and consistent with marketing strategies.
> Maintain the editorial calendar to ensure the real-time and planned updates of content through social media tools such as Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc. This also includes email marketing through the Company website and Intranet -- delivering consistent messaging and up-to-date information.
> Develop and plan marketing activities for the recruitment of prospects, creative follow-up, etc. Assist with the creation and promotion efforts of other marketing events i.e. recruitment of employees, educational events, etc.
> Coordinate marketing campaigns to include email campaigns, mass-mail materials/campaigns, social advertising, etc. This includes the creation of the communication materials which may include brochures, invites, flyers, postings, etc.
> Track marketing campaign information i.e. number of mailers sent, number of respondents to an event, number of hits on a web campaign, etc. Use collected information to analyze results of the campaign.
> Coordinate and track inventory of branded items such as letterhead, business cards, marketing materials, etc. to ensure stock is available and staff has needed items.
> Assist with and/or coordinate the production of Company newsletters as needed or directed.
> Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
> A college degree in Marketing, Communications, Commercial Art/Graphic Design or related field preferred.
> One to three years in marketing, communications, graphic design or other similar experience desired. Knowledge of retirement living preferred.
> Understanding of basic marketing principles required.
> Able to deliver creative and innovative thoughts.
> Strong attention to detail needed.
> Knowledge of marketing strategies on social media networks i.e. Facebook, Twitter, You Tube, LinkedIn, etc.
> Computer knowledge, Mac or PC, and associated software products required. Knowledge of Adobe or Creative Suite software preferred.
> Effective project management and time-management skills needed. Self-motivation required.
> High degree of interpersonal relations skills and capable of relating to a variety of people and personalities. Considerable initiative, judgment and teamwork skills needed.
> Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Negotiation skills are a plus in securing media and community relationships.
> Able to work flexible hours when needed as events happen in the evenings and on weekends.
> Able to lift a maximum of 25 pounds.
