MyHusker, the #1 place to get all your Husker football, volleyball, baseball, and basketball news from around the state of Nebraska, is seeking two (2) sports writing interns to create a "campus connection" at UNL during football and volleyball season. MyHusker has articles, videos and podcasts all on an easily-consumable page for Husker sports enthusiasts.
Each intern will write one (1) article a month from August - December (5 total) to be published on MyHusker.com. Interns will receive full byline credit and $40.00 per article. Each article should be 500 to 1000 words. Interns will be responsible for pitching story ideas to MyHusker and should be able to write quickly once the article is selected.
Responsibilities:
> Write original and insightful posts about key Husker sports stories, from breaking news to athlete features to game previews and recaps.
> Provide insightful, factual, and thoughtful coverage.
> Ability to create fast, accurate, and insightful news stories for a digital audience.
> Comfortable using social media such as Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to enhance reporting and promote stories.
