Project Coordinator - Office of Global Strategies/UNL (Lincoln, NE)

The Office of Global Strategies is seeking an individual to serve as a temporary Project Coordinator, which will report to the Director, Global Strategies. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for executing and coordinating social media strategy, developing unique content for multiple platforms, copywriting various materials (including news articles and reports), and providing communications and project support for initiatives and grant-funded programs in the Office of Global Strategies. This role will also work collaboratively with the other Global Affairs units to build and further amplify the Global Nebraska brand. Great attention to detail and ability to balance multiple projects simultaneously and meet required deadlines will also be crucial to be successful in this role.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communications, marketing, advertising, public relations, communications or related field. Experience in copywriting social media, reports, news articles, etc. Must exhibit excellent interpersonal skills, decision-making abilities and a high capacity for teamwork. Strong written and oral communication skills. Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive/Sharepoint) expertise. Basic graphic design and photography (Canva, Adobe Lightroom/InDesign) skills.

Preferred qualifications:
2+ years experience in communications, marketing, social media or public relations function. Experience working on communications at a higher education institution. Experience working in an international context and/or with individuals from other countries and cultures.
