Photographer/Editor, KETV (Omaha)

KETV, Hearst Television’s ABC affiliate in Omaha, NE has an
 opening for an experienced photojournalist. This position has a strong emphasis 
on photography and video editing with some reporting for the qualified
 applicant.

Job 
Responsibilities:

• Shoot
 high-quality video and gather information for newscasts that could include
 mornings, nights and weekends. 
Variable shift possible.

• Put together high-quality packages.

• Coverage 
of breaking news and sports

• Develop
 sources and generate story ideas

• Shoot 
live shots and live interviews

• Shoot 
and track news stories

• Shoot
 stories for reporters

• Work
 with reporters on packages, special reports and documentaries

• Edit
 video and packages for newscasts

• Ability 
to edit in the field

• Send
 back video and pictures from the field

Experience:

• At 
least one year television news reporting, photography and editing

• Breaking 
news coverage

• Live
 news coverage

• Creative
 writer and packager

Education:


• Degree
 in broadcasting, journalism or related field preferred. Experience considered in lieu of
 education.
