KPTM has an immediate opening for a Digital Content Producer! We are looking for an outgoing, digitally savvy go-getter to help us tell great stories across our digital platforms. As the Digital Content Producer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of all social media and digital properties for KPTM-TV including Fox42kptm.com.
The primary responsibilities include curating articles for our website, writing creative posts on social media etc., and working with reporters to get the latest information on daily stories.We also need a person who can engage and listen to online fans. This position will work closely with the News Manager and Assignment Desk Coordinator.
Required Skills:
> Solid news judgment
> Be a compelling and accurate writer
> Be able to multitask and manage time in order to put together an exciting and informative newscast
> Must be able to work in a fast-paced and deadline driven environment
> Must have strong leadership and communication skills
> The ability to execute news strategies and goals in daily digital production
> Flexibility and on-the-spot problems solving abilities are a must
> Proficiency with non-linear editing (i.e. Avid) and newsroom systems, such as iNews
