Communication Internship - Lincoln Literacy (Lincoln, NE)

Lincoln Literacy, an award-winning, community-based nonprofit, seeks a communications intern for the spring term. Although this is an unpaid internship, it is a rich experiential opportunity which can enhance the resume and portfolio of a successful applicant.

The intern will work with senior staff and board members to:
> Visit our learning sites to seek out stories to be conveyed in images, video, and print.
> Produce graphics, flyers, web content, social media content, and other tools to market our fall fundraising Scrabble tournament, to be held in November.
> Help produce the year-end edition of our newsletter, Word on the Street.

Excellent graphics abilities, strong writing, creativity, and a willingness to learn are the essentials. Videography a plus. The internship will average five hours per week (with some offsite on the intern's own time), but may double in certain critical weeks, and will be reduced by advance arrangement for demanding academic weeks or breaks.

An intern who performs well in this role may earn letters of recommendation and/or a certificate of completion. Interested? Send cover note and resume as soon as possible to: info@lincolnliteracy.org.
